Sophie is strong. She is strong physically. Sophie had heart surgery without any parents to stay with her in the hospital. She is strong because the nannies at the orphanage said she recovered so well after her surgery that she was only back at the orphanage for 2 weeks before moving in with her foster family. She also shows her physical strength with her brothers...when she really wants what they have! She grabs what she wants, and holds on TIGHT.
Sophie is passionate. She hugs by wrapping her little arms around your neck, squeezing as tight as she can. She kisses her brothers good night. She gives kisses on the lips and blow kisses to her friends. Just last night, she told me, "I love you and wo ai ni (I love you in Mandarin)." She is always wanting to be held and loved on...and she always returns your love~
I can't wait to watch her grow into a confident, idealistic, independent woman. In just the 4 months she has been with us, she has shown us what a strong and loving girl she is. I am still in awe of the way in which she has so perfectly fit into our family. This was God's plan all along....
